MTN has launched a new range of unlimited data, SMS and call packages in the mobile service provider’s stable, called MTN Sky. The packages are set to become available to both contract and pre-paid users, with a wider range of options being available to pre-paid customers.
MTN contract holders will have the option to pay R1700 per month for unlimited SMS, data and phone calls on MTN Sky, though the uncapped data usage for all packages will be limited by MTN’s Fair Use policy.
Pre-paid users have several options available, from MTN Sky Ultimate which will cost users R1800 per month for unlimited everything, to Sky Absolute which will cost users R600 for 2GB of data and unlimited calls and messages for a week. MTN has provided the following list of options for pre-paid customers.
- MTN Sky Ultimate (Uncapped) at R1799: Includes Unlimited calls, unlimited SMSs and uncapped data valid for 30 days.
- MTN Sky Super (Uncapped) at R999: Includes unlimited calls, unlimited SMSs and uncapped data valid for 15 days.
- MTN Sky Super (1GB) at R999: Includes unlimited calls, unlimited SMSs and 1GB of data valid for 30 days.
- MTN Sky Absolute (2GB) at R599: Includes unlimited calls, unlimited SMSs and 2GB of data valid for 7 days.
The company’s Chief Marketing Officer Brian Gouldie said in a media statement “MTN Sky customers will also qualify for the following lifestyle benefits; free Bidvest airport lounge access at local and international airports, smart-phone repairs service whereby MTN will collect a faulty handset that requires repairs and a replacement phone issued as well as priority support within MTN’s call centre.”
