A little leak may have forced French game developer Ubisoft’s hand on this one but the company has revealed some early footage of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title, Assassin’s Creed Unity. What makes Unity unusual is that it will be releasing on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only, though there will likely be another release for the older generation of consoles as well. That’s just how Ubi rolls.
The company hasn’t revealed whether the footage of Unity is all supposed to be gameplay or what platform it is running on but it is set in France during the Revolution and it looks gorgeous. The game has been in development for some time and Ubisoft’s engine is capable of impressing like the video does, whether it will look as good as this when the game is complete (and on the PS4 and Xbone) is another matter altogether.
We’re really hope that Unity, which launches at the end of this year, maintains this quality for the finished product. In the meantime, consider us teased.
