Microsoft confirms that Xbox One will land in SA in September

It seems as though we’ve been waiting ages for an official announcement date but Microsoft has just announced 26 launch countries for the Xbox One in September this year. And yes, South Africa is one of the countries included on the list.

There is apparently more of an announcement to come for countries at a local level, something that will apparently take place in April this year. Microsoft locally haven’t given us any hints but odds are we’ll learn pricing, an exact date and some of the first-party games that will be released when the Xbox One does land on local shores.

Also getting the console at the same time are several South American countries, Japan, Korean, Russia and other Eastern European countries, among others.
