Google details what is inside Project Loon’s antennae

By now a lot of the tech-related world is at least aware of Google’s Project Loon, which is basically a method of giving unconnected areas of the world wireless internet using internet balloons.

Google have given interested parties a closer look at what is inside the antennae which will be receiving signals from Google’s balloons as they waft through the skies. Google’s Network Engineering Lead for Project Loon Cyrus Behroozi explains just what is inside the red beach-ball-looking antenna and how its design is better suited to picking up signals from its floating counterpart than, say, a satellite dish would be.
