Meet Honda’s latest lawnmower (with a top speed of 215km/h)

Honda and British Touring Car Championships team Team Dynamics have gotten together to make a lawnmower that even guys without lawns will want to take for a spin. The company converted a Honda HF2620 Lawn Tractor into something… a little more powerful. Like 215 kilometres per hour powerful.

The lawnmower, titled the Mean Mower, can still cut grass but a spot of modification here and there has also ensured that the mower can reach some insane (for a lawnmower) speeds. A 1000cc Honda VTR Firestorm engine has been dropped into the compact space, the grass bag converted to host the fuel tank, oil cooler and a secondary radiator and custom suspension installed.

The body was also custom made, the chassis was recreated and ATV wheels fitted to the mower. The Mean Mover has an estimated top speed of 133 miles per hour (215km/h) but it can also cut grass thanks to electric motors. Cutting grass requires that the mower slows down to a maximum speed of 15 miles per hour (24km/h). The lawn mower/kart thingy from Honda has been track tested at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour (160km/h).

The lawn mower isn’t designed for sale, as far as Stuff can tell, but there are bound to be at least a few queries about the availability of the machine.
