Earlier this week we reported how the Android and iOS folks were buzzing with the news that Microsoft was planning to bring its titles to their smartphones and tablets. Sadly, this will not be happening after all.
Phil Spencer, Microsoft’s VP of the company’s internal game studio clarified the issue via his Twitter account saying “The article is a translation error, we are not bringing XBOX games to non-MS devices.”
So yes, Klabb will be making a new licensed free-to-play version of Age of Empires that will be available to Android and iOS, but no other titles are to be made available, contrary to the earlier Reuters report.
