Lego was a dying name until the patent expired, and now the entire world seems to have adopted Lego for themselves. With Game of Thrones Lego making a debut, the fun doesn’t stop there. For those of you with an interest in radio controlled “toys”, we have just the thing for you – the Lego SR-71 Blackbird.
The SR-71 Blackbird is a legendary Cold War spy plane, recreated with Lego and built by Pawel Kmiec. The plane features motorized elevons, rotating and illuminated engines, a motorized control mast and thrown in are some custom stickers. And it is completely joystick controlled. The entire build is 73.6 cm long, whilst being badass and beautiful.
The model is mounted on a control mast and built around a Technic frame that runs through the central hull. There is pedantic attention to detail too. Overall it’s an elegant and sleek kit.
