Leaked Apple iPhone 5S images expose possible handset updates

The iPhone 5 release caused America to come to a standstill but not much was firmly known about the handset until the official Apple press conference. The same is not true for the iPhone 5S.

Recent leaked pictures of the back of the phone and internal components have been seen by MacRumors  and the iPhone 5S now seems to be boasting a new dual-LED flash, a larger battery (5.92 watt hours vs 5.45 watt hours for the iPhone 5) and a new SoC (System on a Chip).

To enlarge the battery size, Apple has had to make the logic board a little narrower and move some of the components around, which shouldn’t affect processing too much. While no pictures were seen of the front of the device, the belief is that it will look similar to the iPhone 5.

Other rumored features of the phone are; an A7 chip, a fingerprint scanner, 128GB of storage and a 13MP camera.

The release is said to be in mid-September, so all we can do now is wait with bated breath for Apple to official reveal the phone.
