Samsung Galaxy Note III reportedly confirmed, some possible camera details given

Samsung seems to be on to a good thing with the Galaxy Note devices so it shouldn’t be surprising that they’re considering another entry in the product line. A Korean website claims to have official confirmation about the next in line, the Galaxy Note III, as well as some details that may be appearing in the device’s camera.

The Note III’s camera will reportedly be a 13 megapixel shooter that may or may not come with other improvements, including optical image stabilisation and a 3x optical zoom, if Samsung can somehow make that function with the thickness of the device.

Korean website ETNews claims that a Samsung Electronics mobile communications division official has said “We are pondering various technologies at this stage – for example, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and shutter functions. But, nothing has yet to be confirmed, so we cannot conclusively say that those functions will be added to the Galaxy Note 3.” The report claims that the Note III is set for a launch in the second half of 2013, which would be in line with previous releases in the series.
