LG reveals, details Optimus L Series II handsets

LG has jumped the gun and revealed details of their revamped Optimus L handsets, the Optimus L Series II devices, ahead of this year’s Mobile World Congress.

There are three new handsets in the Optimus L Series II line, the Optimus L3II, Optimus L5II and Optimus L7II. LG has revealed minor details pertaining to the first two smartphones and a bit more about the Optimus L7II, understandable since The L7II goes on sale in Russia this week.

The L3II will feature a 3.2″ QVGA IPS display and 1,540mAH battery and the L5II scales that up to a 4″ WVGA display with a 1,799mAH battery. The on-sale-soon L7II has a 4.3″ WVGA IPS display, 1GHz dual core Qualcomm MSM8225 and 768MB of RAM. A 2,460mAh battery, 8 megapixel rear camera (VGA for the front) and Android 4.1 round out the features for LG’s new dual-SIM phone.

The hardware doesn’t compare to the current best-sellers but this probably won’t matter to LG’s target market. Further details and launch dates for the other two handsets will be made known at a later date.
