Sony Xperia Tablet Z announced, sporting some decent specs

Sony have announced a new addition to the Xperia lineup of suspects, the Xperia Tablet Z, a 10.1 Android device that boasts the same stylings as its smartphone counterpart but with some more impressive specs than expected despite sounding like a zombie spinoff for the product line.

On the CPU front the Xperia Tablet Z will have a Qualcomm 1.5GHz quad-core APQ8064 at its heart, adding in 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with the option of some microSD expansion. The 10.1″ 1,920 x 1,200 display will feature Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine 2, with an 8 megapixel Exmor R camera, NFC and LTE rounding out the features.

A 6,000mAh battery will be powering the device and it will be waterproof and dustproof to boot. Pricing and availability have yet to be announced but there will be an update once Sony makes that information known.
