First National Bank offering clients Windows PC laptops, ultrabooks

First National Bank are now offering Windows-based laptops and ultrabooks to new and existing customers as part of their Tablet and Smartphone promotion. As with the other offers, clients can choose from an Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook with Core i7 processor (according to the official release, though FNB’s website lists the Aspire S3-391 Core i5 Ultrabook),  Timeline M3 Ultra or the Aspire V3-571 Core i3 notebook and pay for it at a reduced rate over 24 months.

Celeste Gibbens, Acer Africa Marketing Manager, said: “At Acer we will continue to aim at bringing mobility to consumers in an easy and convenient way. We are delighted to partner with an innovative bank such as FNB on this project.”

Head of Marketing at FNB’s Core Banking Solutions Ilse Smuts said, “Mobility is a key component for FNB and being able to provide our clients with a product that is not only ultra-convenient but offers portable accessibility wherever and whenever.”

FNB Gold or Platinum Cheque Account holders and FNB Private Clients will have differing payment options when it comes to acquiring some Windows love. Gold, Platinum and Private clients will pay R407, R430 and R440 per month respectively for the Acer Timeline Ultra M3. The Aspire S3-391 will set them back R556, R579 and R589 and the Aspire V3-571 will cost R346, R369 and R379 a month. These amounts include the month cheque account fees for each type of account.
