Brace yourselves – Red Dead Redemption 2 will be a 105GB download

Time to delete all those unplayed PlayStation Plus games you’re keeping around for no reason, because the Red Dead Redemption 2 installation will fill your console to the brim. And it’s going to be even more painful if you’re the type to download your games.

RDR2 is finally dropping next month, and a new picture of the PS4 Pro bundle box has revealed some of what’s in store for the coming launch.

The box refers to a “timed exclusive for 30 days” and mentions online content. So PlayStation users will have access to some unique content, and now we also know they’ll get it ahead of everyone else.

Speaking of arriving early, Red Dead Redemption 2 will debut a month or so before its online mode, which is fine considering the PS4 box reveals the game is a massive 105GB to install. Or download and install, if you’re the type that eschews physical media. That means it’s time to do a storage upgrade on your PS4 system. Games are definitely not getting smaller.

The bundle also reveals that Red Dead Online will support between 2 and 32 players. This has not been confirmed by Rockstar Games themselves but a picture of the bundle has also been posted by Sony so it’s very likely to be true.
