Luxury smartphone maker Vertu may have closed its doors but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a market for expensive phones that act as status symbols rather than practical devices. Case in point: The Tonino Lamborghini Alpha-One handset, a hand-tooled leather-and-gold affair that will cost you about the same as a few month’s salary. Or a mid-range MacBook.
