The lovely folk behind annual gaming convention rAge have put together an eSports tournament called Rush in partnership with HP Omen to banish the winter blues… and bestow a tasty selection of prizes on South Africa’s best gamers. The event takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg next weekend (21-23 July 2017), and we’ve got 10 pairs of day tickets to giveaway.
Four main stages will play host to bouts of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), FIFA 17, League of Legends, and Street Fighter V, with all the action broadcast in real-time to big screens around the venue and plenty of dedicated seating at each stage so you can ooh, ahh, heckle or mutter things like “I could’ve made that shot”.
Attendees will also be able to test their mettle in various tournaments over the weekend, including games like Hearthstone, FIFA 17, Street Fighter V and Metal Slug. But isn’t Metal Slug ancient? We prefer “classic”. It’s old-school, arcade-style gaming at its best. Pop past the NAG Arcade/Eurasian Entertainment stand, set the high score and you’ll walk away with an arcade machine at the end of the weekend.
All you have to do to win is answer the question below. Winners will need to get themselves to the event, so you’ll need to be in Gauteng, or be willing to travel to it next weekend. The winners will be announced on Tuesday, 18 July. Good luck!
