Our three Rogue One winners have made themselves known

Stuff Magazine put together one of its most short-notice competitions ever last week with the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story double ticket giveaway. But, since it had something to do with Star Wars, there was no way that we weren’t going to get a metric ton of entries. You have no idea how hard it was to close the competition lines this morning. But now… the time has come to announce our winners.

Before we get into the large amounts of awesome — and possible sadness (for those who didn’t win. We feel your pain) — there are a few things that we need to get out of the way first. It’s just the terms and conditions and the competition process. We do like to let robots do all the work, is what we’re trying to say.

You can find most of our competition info on the Terms and Conditions page but there are a couple of items we like to get out of the way here. This is how the whole thing goes down every month: Winner’s names are drawn randomly by a computer. Once the name has been drawn (in this case, three names – one for each location), the entry is examined by a human to see whether the question has been answered correctly and if it hasn’t been the draw is discarded and a new winner is drawn. That’s it. Unless you work for Stuff Magazine in one way or another, in which case you were disqualified before you even started.

And our winners are:

Sharon Farrell (Nu Metro Hyde Park)
Nicolene Vermaak (Nu Metro The Pavilion)
Lauren Gerber (Nu Metro V&A Waterfront)

Congratulations to our winners. You will be contacted shortly to let you know how we’re going to get your tickets to you. To everyone else, better luck next time. We do still have another competition running for the remainder of the festive season so head on that way to enter for a DStv Explora or an HD Decoder.
