Light Start – Bully, electric tractor, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Cod MW maps

You owe it to yourself to play Bully on mobile if you haven’t before. Also: if you have

Did you play Bully, back when it came out on the PS2? A Grand Theft Auto-like game set in a school? Made by Rockstar Games? You play as a troublemaking school kid? Ringing any bells? If you’re not familiar with the game (which also released under the name Canis Canim Edit) then you probably missed the Xbox 360/PS3 re-release. If so, perhaps the mobile version is for you. Rockstar has made Bully: Anniversary Edition available on both Android and iOS, because the game is ten years old now. Yes, really. And if you didn’t play the sandbox school title, you really should go and download it right now. It’ll set you back around R140 on Android. Totally worth it.

Because Tesla can’t have all the fun, here’s John Deere’s electric tractor

We’ve commented before on how people don’t realise how much innovation takes place in the farming sector. Here’s more evidence, an upcoming tractor from John Deere that turfs the engines and replaces them with electric motors that are driven by a 150kWh battery setup. Which is enough to give it a range of 55km. Charge times for the tractor (which is known as theSustainable Energy Supply for Agricultural Machinery project for the moment) are set at three hours but it’s going to be a while yet before an official unveiling takes place. The Sustainable Energy Supply for Agricultural Machinery is set to be properly shown off at the Paris International Agribusiness Show next year.

This is the first trailer for 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and it looks awesome

Yes, the Spider-Man films are starting again with Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is set to launch on 7 July 2017. And yes, the first trailer for the film just dropped, with a much younger Spider-Man in the title role. And Tony Stark and a bunch of villains as well as a slice of school life. And it looks brilliant. Homecoming seems to have nailed the cocky combat that the friendly neighbourhood arachnid is capable of (witness how he takes on the ATM thieves) but there are hints of the much larger story behind the trailer to be seen as well. We’re already looking for ways to book tickets.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered’s next set of (free) maps drop next week

If you splashed out on the version of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare that included Modern Warfare Remastered then you’ve got some free content coming next week. Acitivsion are dropping 6 news maps and they’re all brilliant. Even the sniper-haven. You know which one. Bloc, Countdown, Pipeline, Showdown, Strike and Wet Work are all going to be launching on 13 December, as well as Winter Crash. We’re kind of dreadng Wet Work, because we remember how much carnage used to play out online on that particular level. Acti are also dropping in two new game modes, Gun Game and Hardpoint, which were never features of the original Modern Warfare. It’ll be interesting to see how old hands handle the addition. Just in time for the holidays…
