Hitting the links? Take the Mercedes-Benz Style Edition Garia Golf Car along

Perhaps you spend some weekends playing a game invented by the Scots. Perhaps you take it seriously enough to own your own golf cart. If you do, then this collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and Garia might just convince you that it’s time to trade in whatever you’ve got. Meet the Mercedes-Benz Style Edition Garia Golf Car.

Mercedes-Benz Garia Golf CarYou’ll notice that the word ‘cart’ is missing from the description above. That’s because Mercedes are positioning this little vehicle, which incorporates some comfy-looking seats, air conditioning, 14-inch rims and variable power modes (Eco and Sport), as a very small, very specifically-aimed car.

The vehicle also sports headlights, windscreen wipers, a heater, as well as a 10.1-inch tablet capable of controlling the power modes and showing the car’s position on a golf course. It’s got an 80km range, which should be more than enough for a trip around the 18, and a 30km/h top speed (governed, no less). It has app access too; so you’ll know what the afternoon weather will be like before you speed off to the 19th, Bluetooth speakers and an integrated fridge just make the Merc-Garia collaboration seem that much more awesome. We’d take up golf just to take a spin in it.

The Mercedes-Benz Style Edition Garia Golf Car is the product of a 2013 query where the company asked golf and vehicle fans for submit ideas for a Merc-made golf cart. The best submissions were used as a base for the design that you can see above.

Pricing isn’t something that is available right now. The Mercedes-Benz Style Edition Garia Golf Car isn’t, strictly speaking, complete as yet and Merc and Garia are still going to be showing off the vehicle at various European events in the next few months. When a cash value is attached to this one, we suspect it’s going to rival a full-sized Mercedes.
