Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is coming and developer Naughty Dog and Sony have just make the wait that much harder. It’s still a little over a month before we finally get our hands on the latest adventured of Nathan Drake, on 10 May, but you don’t have to wait to get a good idea of what’s in store.

Sixteen minutes of Chapter 10 of A Thief’s End, with a suitable cliffhanger ending, has been dropped online. A more open-feeling setting, some spectacular mud physics and very naturally-progressing contextual dialogue are on show for the first twelve minutes or so before we encounter some very familiar accents. Hint: Some of the bad guys might be South African. Or Aussies. A couple of the voices wander a bit.

In terms of spoilers, players will learn the locations of a few of hidden treasures and there are the obvious story reveals that take place here. It’s not as bad as all that, however. The level looks a lot larger than prospective players will give it credit for, initially. There’s a lot more to see. For now, it’s time to go 4x4ing.
