Someone turned the iTunes Terms and Conditions into an amazing graphic novel

Admit it: every time you encounter a big block of text while installing a program or signing up for an account, you roll your eyes, quickly agree to whatever it says, and move on. Right? But would you pay attention if it were lovingly illustrated?

Now’s the time to find out, as artist R. Sikoryak has turned Apple’s iTunes Terms and Conditions into a four-part graphic novel, turning each dull, necessary statement into a comic panel. It’s unabridged, which means the entire chunk of text is covered throughout. Seriously.

Novel as the concept is, it’s even more amazing once you feast your eyes on the pages. Sikoryak has not only delivered an inventive take on the writing that millions and millions of users have ignored, but he’s also turned each page into a stunning tribute to a different comic artist.

From superhero comics to newspaper funnies and webcomics, a wide array of legends (and recent favourites) are represented here. You’ll see Steve Jobs’ adventures modeled after Hergé’s The Adventures of Tintin, Kate Beaton’s Hark, A Vagrant, and Mike Mignola’s Hellboy. In total, 95 different artists are emulated; it’s a new treat on each and every page.

Sikoryak is currently posting a page per day on a Tumblr page, with 48 pages up so far, or you can purchase the entire thing split into two volumes priced at $8 (R110) apiece. For the very first time, we can honestly say that we can’t wait to read these terms start to finish.
