If you have a favourite game, you might want to hold off on getting a PlayStation 4 until Sony releases a properly-themed edition. They seem to be all about that these days. The latest game, or fictional universe rather, to get the custom console treatment is Star Wars with Sony revealing a Darth Vader-themed console that will let any gamer feel the power of the Dark Side.
The console will be releasing with Star Wars: Battlefront on 17 November this year. We’re still waiting for official confirmation of its launch here but it should be arriving. And it’ll sell out fast too. The Darth Console will arrive in a bundle, either with Star Wars: Battlefront or Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars. Both editions will arrive with Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars Bounty Hunter – four remastered games from the franchise’s past. As more or less a throwaway after all that, Sony will also be launching a bundle with the main games previously mentioned as well as the four remastered Star Wars outings with the standard black PlayStation 4 console.
If you want to see it in motion, we have Sony’s provisional video promo below:
Otherwise, check out the Hoth footage for Battlefront again ahead of that November release. It’s going to be a good year for Jedi.
