Just when you think you’ve finally gotten over your crippling Destiny addiction, Bethesda has revealed that The Elder Scrolls Online will be ditching its monthly subscription, opting for a Guild Wars-like one-off payment for the game itself.
Not only that, but PS4 and Xbox One fans finally have a date to mark on their calanders – 9 June.
Now called The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, the game will include all of the content from the existing game, along with all of the updates and content addtions.
PC players who already have an existing subscription can choose to keep paying it for the games new’ ESO Plus service, which offers in-game bonuses and access to all future DLC packs, as long as they remain a member.
An Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus subscription will still be required, and PC gamers will be able to jump in a little earlier when Tamriel Unlimited springs to life on 17 March.
