Project CARS is lining up for March release with a new teaser

We’ve taken a look at Project CARS, a next-gen driving simulator that will be coming into SA through publisher Namco BANDAI and local distributor Megarom Interactive, but it’s been off our radar for a little while now.

Part of that is because the release date seemed rather far off but that’s no longer the case. Slated for a 20 March release this year, Project CARS is set to blow players away with some of the best-looking visuals we’ve ever seen in a racing title. It doesn’t hurt that the team behind it, Slightly Mad Studios, has been putting in a lot of effort to make sure that it has fantastic physics, a dynamic weather system, a gigantic and authentic roster of cars as well as VR and 12K resolution support. We’re guessing that last bit is for the PC version of the game.

All that said, the proof is in the playing and we’re itching to get our hands on this simulator. It’s been too long since we realised just how bad we are at driving.

The video you see above is Slightly Mad attempting to get your attention ahead of the release in a couple of months. We’d have to say that they’ve succeeded. Project CARS will be launching on PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Wii U.
