Sorry PC gamers – Grand Theft Auto V for PC delayed till March

It’s a sad day for PC gamers who are keen on getting their criminal on with Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar Games has announced that the smash-hit sequel has been delayed for the platform.

GTA TrevorThere are a few extra tweaks and some polishing required before the game can be launched on PC, Rockstar says, and that is the reason for the launch delay. Now we can expected GTA V to land on 24 March 2015, which is a bit later than everyone was expecting.

But you can take heart in the fact that the PC is going to be getting the best looking version of the game, though it will be largely the same content-wise as last year’s Xbox One and PS4 releases. GTA Online will support up to 30 players on PC, the upcoming GTA Online Heists feature will also release for the platform and players will be able to scale up their resolution to 4, assuming they have the hardware required.

Speaking of hardware, Rockstar has also announced the system specs you’ll need to take Trevor and the boys out for a spin come March. You can hit up the link above for the full details but at minimum you’ll need 65GB of hard drive space, an Intel Core 2 Q6600/AMD Phenom 9850 quad and an Nvidia 9800GT or AMD HD 4870 to get the game to run. The recommended specs are a bit higher than that…

While you’re at it, check out the newly-released screens for the PC version of the game on Rockstar’s page.
