Assassin’s Creed Unity Season Pass, China, Dead Kings content detailed

ACU_SeasonPassAssassin’s Creed Unity is shaping up to be a whopper of a game on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and Ubisoft’s latest announcement, which delves into what will be available to Season Pass owners, is only going to extend that journey.

The Season Pass, which allows owners to download extra content for the title without shelling out as much as they would buying each additional bit piecemeal, will expand upon the main game that Unity presents in Revolutionary France with a trio of extra missions and a collection of extra items (30 in all), some of which will be available when the game launches. The Fleur de Lys sword is one weapon that Ubi have emphasised for launch day.

If that was all that Ubisoft had in store for Season Pass owners, we’d be very unimpressed but they’ve also said that Assassin’s Creed: Dead Kings, a whole new outing for protagonist Arno that will see him exploring the crypts of dead French kings in Saint Denis – hence the name.

But wait, there’s more! Ubisoft have also revealed a new 2.5D side-scrolling adventure called Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China that will take players to 16th Century China in the role of Shao Jun, an assassin who studied under Assassin’s Creed II’s Ezio Auditore. Shao Jun, on returning to her homeland, sets out on a mission of revenge against… something or other. We’re not sure what yet.

Something else we’re not sure of yet is what the Season Pass will set players back but we do know that the content listed so far will all be out and available by “…early 2015”. Hopefully Ubi has a few other things planned as well.
