The cast of Alien and stars of Crew Expendable talking about SEGA’s upcoming Alien: Isolation

Games based on the Alien motion pictures have been around for a very, very long time. Some of them have been fantastic, other, like the most recent release Aliens: Colonial Marines, failed to fulfill their promise.

SEGA and developer Creative Assembly are planning to improve on that last outing’s sour taste with Alien: Isolation, which hits the market in early October this year. So far the previews have been positive and a few lucky players have even been allowed to play the game using the Oculus Rift, which is reputed to make gamers pee themselves a little.

What could possibly make this game, which looks like a brilliant nod to the original films, any better? How about the original cast voicing bits of an add-on called Crew Expendable?

In the video below, you’ll see the original cast, namely Sigourney Weaver (Ripley), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Tom Skerritt (Dallas) and Yaphet Kotto (Parker) talking about Alien: Isolation while stills and footage from the game play in the background. Players will be able to take on the roles of Ripley, Parker or Dallas in Crew Expendable when the game releases in October, in addition to having the new Isolation game on hand.

If that doesn’t convince a few Alien die-hards to jump in and play, nothing will.
