Not everyone has enough cash to drop on a trip to the FIFA World Cup taking place in Brazil but Google have very kindly arranged a look around the stadiums themselves, though they’re devoid of crowds and footballers. Google’s LatLong blog has given notice that Google Maps users can get inside the twelve stadiums that will be playing host to the football action this year using Street View – so you can picture yourself at ground level while watching everything on TV.
The search company have also loaded up the decorated streets surrounding the venues for this year’s World Cup so you can take a virtual stroll around and bask in the digital ambience.
If you’re not sports-minded, then Google has other options for you. The company said that “In addition to the stadiums and painted streets, images from hundreds of sites across Brazil, including Iguaçu National Park and St. Michael of the Missions, are also now available on Google Maps.”
If you’re anything like us though, you’re probably going to be peering around the stadiums for a bit before the official kickoff this month.
