Handheld title Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate to get full console release on 1 April

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, already released on Nintendo’s 3DS and Sony’s PlayStation Vita, will be spreading further afield on 1 April this year, according to an announcement from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

The side-scrolling title, a companion game to Batman: Arkham Origins, will be getting an HD revamp to go with its new selection of playable platforms. The game is set to release on the PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U from 1 April as a download only release but it will only be hitting Europe, as well as associated territories like South Africa, the next day on 2 April.

In addition to the HD makeover, Warner Bros. will be adding in a new hint system and map as well as some sound upgrades. The handheld title may have been great but a straight conversion to living room consoles would make this 2.5D action game a little lacking compared to what it could be.
