The Oculus Rift VR headset is an exciting piece of tech and a recently-released demonstration of its capabilities has possibly just cemented its nerd credibility, as if it needed the boost.
A game developer has recreated Star Wars’ Luke Skywalker’s iconic run on the Death Star using the Oculus Rift and an Xbox 360 controller. The video above shows the output to both of the Oculus Rift’s screens and it looks as though the playable trench run is pretty close to the original motion picture version. At least a few Star Wars fans will be gagging to try this out.
