Gamers have been long awaiting the return of the master thief Garrett, the protagonist of the Thief series of games. There is a reboot of the series on the way, moving towards social commentary and a somewhat different gameplay style if the released (CGI) footage of the game is any indication.
The newest video from Square Enix shows that the series is looking a lot like Arkane’s Dishonored, featuring a dystopian timeline that Garrett will be getting involved in somehow. It looks like the titular thief may have developed somewhat of a conscience. How this effects the previously established gameplay and what the fan reaction to the change will be… Stuff will reserve judgement until some actual gameplay sneaks out of the shadows.
