Wii users to get the Angry Birds Trilogy at last

Angry Birds revolutionized mobile gaming and has become so popular that it became a platform game on consoles to boot, the most recent of those being the Nintendo Wii and Wii U.

The disc-based collection includes Angry Birds, Angry Birds: Seasons and Angry Birds: Rio, all of which are going to be available on both of Nintendo’s game consoles. Rovio, the makers of Angry Birds, claim that the discs will offer 140 hours of gameplay and 30 episodes, including some new, exclusive levels. The trailer also promotes 40 hours of “bonus” gameplay.

Angry Birds suits the Nintendo Wii and Wii U, given that both consoles are aimed at families and younger children. The Wii remote makes pulling the catapult easy while the Wii U gamepad will have controls that are touch sensitive, allowing the player to play solely on the tablet controller.

You can expect the trilogy to hit stores on August 8.
