Stable CyanogenMod 10.1.0 released

A stable version of CyanogenMod, the alternative Android-based firmware, was released on 24 June. CyanogenMod 10.1.0 is based on the Android 4.2.x “Jelly Bean” releases. The devs at CyanogenMod have said that they will now start focusing more on adding new functionality of their own along with more frequent monthly releases.

One of the planned releases should include a privacy mode, which should allow you to run selected apps in an incognito mode which will block said apps from accessing any information on your phone. Perfect for more paranoid users.

You can download CyanogenMod 10.1.0 here, and access their wiki for a step-by-step how-to here.

Please note that attempting to modify your phone can result in it being bricked completely, so please note that Stuff does not accept any responsibility for any smartphone deaths.
