BlackBerry reported to have touchscreen A10 device in the works for this year

BlackBerry is reported to have another BlackBerry 10 touchscreen handset in the works for release this year, the A10 device which is expected to launch towards the end of this year. The reports stem from a product teaser by a Sprint executive.

There aren’t many details on the apparent A10 handset but it is possible that the smartphone is related to a leak seen in October last year that led to speculation about a BlackBerry 10 A-series of phones.

The specifications seen last year for an Aristo handset from BlackBerry included a Qualcomm APQ8064 Krait Quad Core 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, a 4.65″ OLED 1280 x 720 display and 16GB of internal storage. A 2800mAh battery was also part of the package. Of course, the new device could also just be BlackBerry’s recently announced Q5 smartphone.
