Kicking off with a slide and a talk on how the competition has eroded it’s margins on Bravia 55 inch TVs by 52%, Sony is set to unveil its new portfolio at the 2013 SonyCon Africa in Cape Town.TVs, cameras, lenses, projectors, an action cam, an Africa-centric line of component speakers and a host of other toys are on the menu – still nothing on the PS4.
2012 was all about integrating Sony Ericsson; 2013 will be about 4K resolution, mirrorless cameras, a GoPro competitor, 2 year warranties and emerging markets R&D.
