Twitter will reportedly be launching Twitter Music a little later on today, a standalone music app that will suggest musicians and tracks to users based on based on several factors, including which artists the user follows on Twitter.
The launch window for Twiiter Music isn’t completely confirmed but today seems to be the most likely date, based on sources and the fact that Twitter has the web login page almost functional at the moment. A launch today would make sense as the Coachella music festival kicks off in the States this weekend and Twitter would probably want to capitalise on that.
Twitter Music will reportedly give users, in addition to suggested artists and tracks, access to audio clips and music videos from third party sources from within the app.
