Flipboard 2.0 lets users create magazines from saved articles

Google

After bringing magazines to the iPad with a revolutionary way of navigating them, Flipboard now lets its readers create their own curated magazines.

Flipboard 2.0, the newly-released version of the news, social network and magazine personalisation software, has added a new feature where users can select the [+] button while browsing and save whatever they have been viewing for later perusal. This function alone is noteworthy but Flipboard has also added the ability for users to take this saved content and turn it into a magazine, using the same [+] button.

These magazines, custom-created by users, can be kept for private consumption or shared with the Flipboard community at large. Flipboard CEO Mike McCue, in a letter emailed to users, said “This gets addictive, especially when you start seeing other people who share your interests reading and commenting on your magazines.”
