Vodacom Pre-Paid and Top Up customers get access to LTE

Vodacom has now extended access to their LTE network to Pre-Paid and Top Up customers, the first South African network to do so.

The expansion of access to all of Vodacom’s customers is attributed to increased LTE coverage within the country.

Vodacom CEO Shameel Joosub said in a statement “We want everyone to have access to the latest technology and fastest mobile connection, so there’s no additional charge for LTE. All you’ll need is a 64kb or higher SIM card and a compatible device. It’s that simple.”

Additionally, Vodacom has announced that they will be doubling SMS bundles for its hearing-impaired customers at no extra charge. The offer is being extended to those who qualify upon submission of an application form, available either from Vodacom’s website or by sending an SMS to 12580 with either a fax number or email address where the form can be sent to.
