Lenovo adds three new tablets to their product lineup

Lenovo has added two new 7-inch A-series and one S-series “Home Entertainment” tablet to their current lineup of available products.

The S6000, pictured left, is a 10-inch Android tablet with a 1,280 x 800 IPS display, MTK 8389/8125 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU and a battery that can support a claimed 8 or more hours of WiFi-connected browsing. Billed as a multimedia device, the S6000 will feature a mini-HDMI port, digital microphone and optional HSPA+ access. Lenovo has not specified which Android OS the S6000 will be receiving.

The A3000 and A1000, pictured below, are both 7-inch tablets with the A3000 sporting an MTK 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, 1,024 x 600 display and optional HSPA+. Lenovo says that the A3000 “optimizes the user experience for games, video, photo-sharing and web-browsing”. Internal storage for the device can be expanded up to 64GB with a microSD card.

The A1000 is aimed at users who would prefer more music-related functions from their tablets and will ship with integrated Dolby Digital Plus and front-facing speakers, and 16GB of internal storage with the option to expand it to 32GB via microSD. It will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and will be running the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.

All of the new Android tablets will become available, worldwide, in Q2 this year. How much they will dent your wallet hasn’t been revealed yet but Lenovo says that they all are going to be “competitively priced”.
