Sony is teasing, via a Twitter post and teaser website, “the future” of PlayStation.
Just what this announcement, slated for 20 February, concerns isn’t known but there is widespread speculation that Sony will be announcing or unveiling the PlayStation 4 console on that date.The teaser video, shown below, certainly isn’t giving any hints away.
Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter, who frequently comments on the gaming industry, has pointed out that “Sony is inviting investors and media to the Feb 20 event; that means console announcement”. Whether he is correct is uncertain as Sony may just have something else up their sleeves. However, an announcement on the next Sony console has long been rumoured for the first half of 2013 so 20 February is a very likely day for it to happen.
