Xbox LIVE to launch over 40 new apps worldwide this week

Microsoft has announced, though its Major Nelson website, that the Xbox LIVE service will be rolling out over 40 new apps and services worldwide this week.

Some of the apps that will become available will be restricted to certain countries only, with the only two options confirmed for regions that include South Africa being the addition of Microsoft’s Skydrive cloud service and a karaoke app.

Others, like CrunchyRoll (an anime streaming service), Deezer (a music streaming service) and Machinima are confirmed for the “Majority of LIVE Regions” but there is no indication whether South Africa has made the cut for these new additions.
