Galaxy Note II sells 3 million units in one month – Samsung

Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Note II handset, which was recently launched in South Africa, has sold 3 million units in the space of a month. This means that the Note II is selling at roughly triple the rate of its predecessor.

The first Galaxy Note took three months to reach the three million sold mark, making the Note II’s performance in the market slightly unusual. The ‘phablet’, as the oversized handset is known, appears to be picking up a new segment of the market judging by how fast the S-Pen-wielding device is being adopted this time around.

The Galaxy Note II is still due to go on sale in the States, this time through all of the USA’s major carriers, which should boost its sales still further.
