Huawei has given details on a new Android handset due from the Chinese company, though one thing that has not been specified is just what flavour of Android the phone will be packing.
The Honor 2, which will be available for pre-order in China later this week, will feature Huawei’s homegrown K3V2 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There will be an option for external storage by way of a microSD slot and the handset will include a 1080p-video-recording-capable 8 megapixel camera.
The display will match Apple’s Retina offering with a PPI of 326 for the 4.5″ 1,280 x 720 screen. Huawei is claiming that the device will have a standby time of 72 hours, something that has yet to be seen. The Honor 2, when it releases, will be priced at 1,888 yuan (around R2,600).
