Google’s 29 October event may include the first Android 4.2 devices

Google’s Android-themed event, scheduled for next week in New York, is widely expected to reveal the first instance of the Android 4.2 operating system as well as a new Nexus device made by LG that was thought to be called the LG Optimus G Nexus. Recent reports are now suggesting that Google’s event might have a little more in store than was previously thought.

In addition to Android 4.2 and LG’s device Google is thought to be showing off a new Nexus, the Nexus 10. The device is reportedly made by Samsung and will apparently feature a higher display resolution (2,560 x 1,600) than Apple’s current generation of iPad. An updated version of the Nexus 7 is also expected.

More detailed information has come to light regarding the LG device, which will be based on the Optimus G. It will reportedly be called the Nexus 4 and will apparently feature a quad-core SnapDragon CPU, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera, a 1,280 x 768 display, and 16GB of internal storage.
