Google has sent out invitations for an Android event in New York at the end of this month.
29 October is when Android fans will be seeing something new from the company, possibly the rumoured reveal of the LG Optimus G Nexus, a Google handset based on the Optimus G’s hardware. If that speculation is spot-on then Android 4.2 may also be shown at the event.
There have also been rumours of a new 32B Nexus 7 coming from the company, which might see the price of the standard 16GB Nexus 7 drop, and this may also be the subject of Google’s New York event.
With Microsoft’s Surface launching alongside Windows 8 on 26 October, unconfirmed new devices from Apple on 23 October and now Google’s event, it seems as though the gadgetry for 2012 has not subsided as much as it was expected to.
