Samsung sends invite for an October product launch, thought to be Galaxy S III Mini

Samsung has issued invitations for a product launch in Frankfurt, Germany on 11 October, sparking off speculation that a Galaxy S III Mini is in the offing.

Based on the invitation for the event (pictured), odds are good that a Galaxy S-something-or-other will be introduced by the South Korean company. The tag line on the invite translates from German into, roughly, “So big can be small. And so small can be big” or “Something so big can be small and something so small can be big.” Taken with the S-image being used as the background, a new Galaxy S device seems like a safe bet.

Translating the invitation gives the idea that a smaller phone, which is thought to be a rumoured smaller Galaxy S III, will become available from the company around this year’s festive season.

None of this speculation is even remotely confirmed however and just what Samsung will be unveiling will have to wait until the 11 October event, barring a catastrophic leak.
