Nokia considering selling Espoo headquarters – report

Cellphone manufacturer Nokia might be looking at selling the company’s headquarters, which is based in Espoo, Finland, according to a report from Reuters.

Spokeswoman for the company Maija Taimi reportedly told Reuters “We are evaluating different options for non-core parts, such as real estate holdings, and that includes the headquarters.”

Nokia has previously said that they are looking at ways to shed non-essential assets, including properties that the company owns. The Espoo HQ is currently worth between 200-300 million Euros, according to Finnish newspaper Iltasanomat, and could provide a needed cash bump should Nokia offload it.

Even if Nokia does sell their headquarters, they will apparently remain a primary tenant of the complex.
