HTC One X+ confirmed, boasts larger battery, CPU

HTC’s One X+ handset, which was leaked online last week, has been made official by the company and the revised version of the One X boasts a few hardware improvements.

Some features have remained unchanged while others have gotten a tweak or two. The CPU has been upped from a 1.5 GHz chip (found in the global version of the One X) to a 1.7 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 and, according to HTC, “…the HTC One X+ LTE version is up to 67% faster than the HTC One X LTE.” RAM remains at 1GB but internal storage has been increased to 64GB.

Other new additions include the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, which replaces the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, and a larger 2100 mAh battery. The Sense feature has also been updated and Sense 4+ has a new Self Portrait mode for the front camera (which has also increased in size from 1.3 to 1.6 megapixels), Sightseeing mode which launches the camera quickly and two new views in the Gallery option.

HTC also confirmed that the HTC One S and One X will be getting a rollout of Jelly Bean and Sense 4+ from October. The HTC One X+ will be launching later this month.
