New Galaxy Note 10.1 launch confirmed for August

Samsung have confirmed that a new 10.1 version of the Galaxy Note will be launching globally this month and there are a lot more details available regarding the specs for the device.

The new Note will feature a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos processor, a step or three up from the 1.7GHz dual core that was originally expected. It will come with an S Pen, 2GB of RAM, 1290×800 WXGA display and will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

According to Samsung the Galaxy Note 10.1 is “…designed to simplify the process of capturing ideas, accessing information and multi-tasking, making each easier and faster and allowing people to express their ideas in an efficient way.”

WiFi only and WiFi+3G versions of the new device will be available at launch, with a WiFi+LTE version going on sale later on this year.
