Samsung has seen their appeal against a ban on Galaxy Nexus handsets in the US turned down by Judge Lucy Koh yesterday. The injunction against the device is set to take effect alongside the injunction against sales of the Galaxy Tab.
Judge Koh wrote in her ruling, “Although some consumers may be disappointed that they cannot purchase the Galaxy Nexus, the Galaxy Nexus, as Samsung itself has repeatedly insisted, is not Samsung’s only smartphone product on the market.”
Samsung is working with Google on a software patch that Google says should enable the Nexus to be sold in the States.
The ban on sales of the Galaxy Nexus won’t come into effect until Apple posts a $95.6 million bond against the possibility that the issuing of the injunction is a mistake.
