D3200 from Nikon goes local

Nikon’s new entry-level D3200 D-SLR will be made available in South Africa this month.

Aimed primarily at new users, the D3200 hosts a 24.2 megapixel sensor capable of taking pictures with a maximum resolution of 6016 x 4000 along with a new EXPEED 3 image processor.

Other features of Nikon’s new camera include 1080p video recording at 24fps, in-camera editing, and an 11-point image autofocus system. The Guide Mode seen in the D3000 and D3100 D-SLRs has been updated for the release of the D3200.

Nikon’s D3200 will be able to wirelessly pair with smartphones to transmit image data using the optional WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter. The wireless adapter will also permit remote control of the camera via a smartphone and will be supporting Android devices.
